Building a Solar Water Pump System For Hazrate Umar Farooq(R), District of Chak-e-Wardak Afghanistan COMPLETED

The Solar Well Project initiated by the Spogmai Charity Foundation aims to provide clean and sustainable water to the Masjid of Hazrate Umar Farooq (R) located in Chak e Wardak, a remote area in Afghanistan. The project aims to benefit approximately 70 families in the surrounding area who rely on this well for their daily water needs.

The Solar Well Project is a modern and environmentally friendly solution that utilizes solar energy to power a pump that draws water from a deep borehole. The water is then pumped into an elevated storage tank, from where it is distributed to the surrounding community. The system is designed to be low-maintenance and easy to operate, making it an ideal solution for remote areas with limited access to resources.

The Spogmai Charity Foundation has partnered with local contractors to oversee the construction and installation of the solar well system. The project includes installation of the solar panels, and the construction of the water storage tank,  distribution network and purchasing other necessary equipment. The system is designed to be durable and long-lasting, with a lifespan 5 to 10 years.

The solar well system will provide a reliable source of clean water to the local community, reducing their dependence on traditional wells and other unsustainable water sources. The system will also help to reduce the spread of waterborne diseases, which are a common health concern in many remote areas of Afghanistan. Additionally, the solar well system will reduce the workload of women and children who often have to travel long distances to collect water.

The Spogmai Charity Foundation is committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the solar well system. The organization has implemented a maintenance plan that includes regular inspections and repairs to ensure the system continues to operate at peak efficiency. The foundation will also work closely with the local community to ensure they are aware of how to properly operate and maintain the solar well system.

The Spogmai Charity Foundation would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the generous donor who has made this project possible. Your contribution towards this noble cause will have a significant impact on the lives of the local community and help create a sustainable future for generations to come. Thank you for your support and generosity.
